We are currently looking for a Growth Hacking Intern to work part time with our team. Role is based in Amsterdam; remote is not an option.

Part Time Growth Hacking Intern

United Academics is an NGO that advocates for open access to scientific research. We firmly believe that knowledge shouldn’t be hidden behind a paywall.

United Academics is involved in two activities:

The Magazine: An online magazine where we put scientific research in the context of everyday life. Making science sexy!

The OALibrary: Our Open Access Library. All publicly funded research papers should be made open access (no fees charged to view and download a research paper). The Open Access movement is backed by EU, which established that by 2020 all EU countries must make sure that all publicly funded research papers are immediately available in Open Access.

The Role

We are looking for a part time Growth Hacking intern.

Experience is less important than enthusiasm. We are a small nonprofit with a tight budget, meaning that we have to be creative in how we spend our time and resources. That means that the right candidate will take on a lot of responsibility quickly, and will have autonomy in many of their decisions.

We have a few projects in the works right now, and the ideal person would be able to juggle a few of them at a time. Most of our staff have some technical background, so it would help if candidates were familiar with at least some of the following:

WordPress

Django

Python

HTML / CSS

This role is ideal for students, as you will have the ability to work when you want, as long as you’re working 20 hours per week.

Desired Skills

Fluent in English. Some knowledge of Dutch is helpful.

The ever-burning passion for allowing anyone, regardless of their financial or academic status, to access scientific knowledge

Working hours:

Flexible Part time.

Starting Date:

As soon as possible.
